Truth has indeed become the scarcest commodity on earth. We complain about a lack of water and electricity, yet truth has been trampled upon and left in the streets to be mocked. God’s Truth, not the fairy tales of mankind dressed up to be a variant of truth. God’s Truth – embodied in Jesus – remains the most valuable, yet so few seek after it. 2 Timothy 4 warned us about such a development, and it is as a result of 2 Timothy 3 which speaks of how the end of the days it will all be the self. How true indeed, and what tragedy accompanies such a reality! The self speaks of moral relativism, it drives the gratification of the five senses (for this reason we are seeing a boom in the encounter gospel of emotionalism and sensory delights), and it ultimately pushes the world further away from the True North of Christ to the fluctuating magnetic north as determined by the ever-shifting narratives of a world descending deeper into spiritual darkness.
Yet God is rising the end-time remnant, it is clear to see. He is on the Throne, He still sees, knows and hears. He is Love, Hope and the everlasting Way. The Bride – the Beloved – betrothed, is still yearning and seeking the heart of the Father. It is the way of a relationship, born out of intimacy. It is the deep cry of the Bridegroom for the Lord to come, but also for the Lord to bring forth the harvest of the lost. Yes Lord, may the sheep come into the sheepfold of Your Majesty! For only the true divine light pierces the darkness, only the salt of the Lord adds flavour to a flavourless world and only His love heals and mends.
It is not easy to remain standing for the Truth in a hostile world, yet God reminds us not to grow weary in doing good. These may be perilous times, but God is faithful and true. The end-time Bride of messengers, intercessors, prayer warriors and truth-seekers are on the march, proclaiming the true Gospel of hope in a desolate land. In God, growth and love remain real, for He is the Good Shepherd and the only Door to the court of the Lord. His truth shall forever stand as a lighthouse.
Indeed, the prophetic has been facing a huge onslaught, with its credibility under assault by the counterfeit of the New Age and the occult. Despite the nefarious schemes, agendas, and plots, God calls for His prophets not to fear the Ahabs and the ‘murderous’ rampages of those who are sadly still blinded by deception and decadence. Unto Elijah, the Lord said that He has reserved 7000 who had now bowed the knee to Baal. Yes, there is an end-time remnant of those who have not bowed the knee, and they are dangerous to the lies and the desires of slavery, for they walk in the liberty of the Lord, by His grace and strength.
Since the beginning of time, God’s master plan has withstood every storm, no matter the ideologies that have shaped our cultures, or the influences of the philosophical and the esoteric. No matter the religious dark undertones, the wise discourse of the academics and the buffoonery of the cult of the celebrity, Jesus is the only truth, the only way and the only source of life. He is the Balm of Gilead, the resurrection, the eternal life, Immanuel, and the hope of glory. His Kingdom has always remained standing, just so the Towers of Babel shall fall along with every vain-glorious attempt at usurping the might and glory of the eternal King of kings. Indeed, the Lord laid low the pride of the Babylonians, the Romans and the Hellenic Greeks, and again we are reminded that pride comes before a fall. May we seek to abide in the Lord, instead of making a defiant stand that yields no fruit.
Unto the children of God, do not fear the night. The weapons may be forged, but shall not prosper. We sit at His table, and in the dance of splendour, the fear recedes. How glorious indeed is our Lord, for we are empowered by His presence, for His Spirit indwells in the disciples who are now the Tabernacle of the Covenant. There may be whispers and shouts of accusations, rumours, and allegations, but what God speaks is all that is important. His Word is Yes and Amen. His Promises shall not return unto Him void. He is indeed mighty, so love Him with all your strength. His love remains irresistible. His grace is undeniable. His beauty is unquestionable. And He still calls us all home to His loving arms … the broken, the forgotten, the outcast, the neglected, the rich, and the poor. For indeed, in Him everything is not just vanity, for He is the purpose of all and everything, He is life, and He is the meaning to our every breath. Jesus upholds all, for He is the Word, the Alpha and the Omega, and yes, the author and the finisher of our faith (not man).
