John 15 makes it clear we need to abide in the Lord. Therefore, we need to abide in the Vine. When we are connected to the Vine, we are connected to God’s life, joy, health, deliverance, strength and hope. To abide in the Vine calls for submission and obedience to God and walking in faithfulness. It calls for upholding the Covenant. As we abide in God, we shall overcome the storms of this world. When we abide in the Vine, we walk in God’s Spirit, wisdom and truth. When we yield to the Vine, we bear fruit to God’s glory.

1 I am the true Vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that continues to bear fruit, He [repeatedly] prunes, so that it will bear more fruit [even richer and finer fruit].
